When planning a major product, do you consider the readiness of your staff as well as the goal you want to achieve?

The Hebrews were departing Egypt, and "God did not lead them by the way of the Philistines...for God said, 'Lest the people change their minds...and they return to Egypt'" (Exodus 13:17 NASB).

The goal was for the Hebrews to take possession of the promised land, but God knew the people needed more preparation. In your business, consider if your staff is ready for that big initiative before you lead a major effort. First, count the cost; then move forward. Time committed to preparing staff will be the difference between defeat and victory.
