The Apostle Paul wrote, "The hard-working farmer ought to be the first to receive his share of the crops" (2 Timothy 2:6 NASB).

Business conditions may become tough and cash flow might be tight, but reasonable staff wages must come before profits or the owner's compensation. Effective generals know that an army cannot fight unless well-fed, and staff cannot, nor will, put forth the best efforts unless paid appropriately. Pay employees first and earn loyalty needed for long-term success.
