Do you give respect to older colleagues at work?

Scripture relates, "A gray head is a crown of glory" (Proverbs 16:31 NASB).

One of my biggest mistakes when I was younger was not giving enough respect to older co-workers and tapping into all the experience they had to offer. I would listen, but usually discount their perspective. Young leaders will improve management performance when they balance their newer ideas with the experience of others. Give equal weight to this experience, add to that experience your newer leadership ideas, and you will have the strongest possible leadership team.

In the Word

Scripture relates, "A gray head is a crown of glory" (Proverbs 16:31 NASB).

Workplace Resources
