Are you alone in running your own business?

WRITTEN BY STEVE MARR

Scripture instructs, "A man of understanding will acquire wise counsel" (Proverbs 1:5 NASB).

Running your own business as a one-person shop can be lonely, especially when you don't have others to talk to about issues. Consider finding several other Christian businesspeople and meeting with them each month. Talk over problems and share decisions. Furthermore, locate a Christian business mentor who will share past experience, knowledge, and perspectives. Finding outside counsel will require commitment, work, and follow-through, but the benefits will pay large dividends to you and your business.

In the Word

Scripture instructs, "A man of understanding will acquire wise counsel" (Proverbs 1:5 NASB).
